SAFEGUARDING
Child Welfare
Botley Boys and Girls Football Club is fully committed to making sure we have appropriate safeguarding in place. So it is important everyone is aware of how to safeguard children and the procedures for reporting a concern about the welfare of a child.
Our Club Welfare Officers Terri Matthews and Ian Potter will always be on hand to advise you with any query or concern. The Football Association’s RESPECT guidelines are aimed at promoting best practice, helping us all to work together to change the negative attitudes and unacceptable behaviour on the side-lines and on the pitch. The role of the CWO is key to ensuring that Respect is understood, taken on board by the committee, coaches/managers members and supporters. By having a club Welfare Officer (CWO) we have the chance to make a significant contribution to creating positive change and an environment in which children can thrive.
