Our History
Botley Boys and Girls F.C. was founded in 1995 and has grown to become a vibrant club which promotes football for the youth of the community. The club was formed by Dave Curtin and Robin Masters with the team playing their fixtures initially on both the Botley primary school pitch and a pitch located in a field sandwiched between the Seacourt stream and the Park and Ride.

In 1995 the current facilities at Fogwell Road were developed and a pitch was literally carved out of a field, which was set in a corner of the Fogwell Road site bordered by the A420 and the Eynsham Road. Parents and volunteers carried out this work with hand tools and domestic lawnmowers borrowed for the task. These conditions, or lack of them, spurred the parents on. With the determination of the committee, funds were raised and grants sought to build the facilities that we have today. The pavilion which doubles up as a community venue for various functions, was officially opened by the then Oxford United Manager Malcom Crosby in 1997.
In 2005, after great efforts with fundraising, floodlights were added to the lower part of the ground to allow evening training during the winter months. The club prides itself on being a key part of the community. It offers the opportunity for kids from 6 to 16 to express themselves and make friends by playing competitive sport.
